David Jacob here, sharing my fantastic experience pursuing my Bachelor's in Nursing at the AMA-AP campus in Poland! The academic rigor and hands-on training here are truly impressive, and I'm so grateful for the incredible support from my caring and dedicated teachers.
What's particularly exciting is that upon graduation, I'll earn a Polish nursing license, opening doors to opportunities across the EU. This program, a collaboration between the American Medical Academy and Polonijna University, also positions graduates like me for potential employment in the USA.
The passion my teachers have for our success is truly inspiring. Their guidance has not only boosted my confidence but also solidified my excitement for my future in nursing.
For anyone seeking an affordable yet outstanding nursing education within the EU, I wholeheartedly recommend considering the AMA-AP campus in Poland and the AMA campus in Croatia. These programs offer a pathway to a rewarding career with potential opportunities in both the European Union and the United States.
My name is Denys, I am a family medicine doctor and a PhD lecturer at a medical university. In February 2025, after completing an intensive professional Polish language course for foreign doctors at the AMA Academy, I successfully passed the exam at the Naczelna Izba Lekarska (NIL) on my first attempt.
The AMA training program is a comprehensive, highly effective methodology developed in great detail. It is based on a modern communicative method of intensive language learning up to the B2 level, which is mandatory for healthcare professionals planning to work in Poland.
The course was divided into four key modules, aligned with the structure of the NIL exam: sprawdzian pisemny (dictation), sprawdzian testowy (listening comprehension), sprawdzian ustny (reading aloud), and sprawdzian praktyczny (patient consultation simulation). Language training was supported by spaced repetition of medical terminology and professional vocabulary, which allowed me to confidently reach the required level of language competence for medical practice in Poland within just three months.
My instructor was Svitlana, a professional with a clear and effective training plan. We worked on all aspects of communication, simulating clinical situations. I also received detailed guidance on grammar, pronunciation, and the stylistic features of medical speech. The individual lessons enabled me to rapidly develop my speaking skills and improve dictation (sprawdzian pisemny) writing, with particular attention to spelling and punctuation. We also worked with previous NIL exam materials, which helped me become familiar with the exam format.
Sprawdzian testowy (listening comprehension) was practiced using authentic medical texts. I read past exam materials, answered questions, learned to identify key information, and took notes while listening.
For preparation for the sprawdzian ustny (reading aloud) module, we studied Polish scientific publications and clinical case descriptions. Svitlana carefully corrected my pronunciation and intonation; we thoroughly analyzed the content and responses to typical exam questions. At the same time, I created my own medical glossary by noting down unfamiliar terms.
Particular attention was paid to the sprawdzian praktyczny (patient consultation simulation) module. During preparation, we recreated realistic clinical scenarios. I practiced taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, making diagnoses, and prescribing treatments. We covered scenarios involving patients with conditions such as hyperthyroidism, arterial hypertension, epidural hematoma, peptic ulcer disease, and others. These role-playing exercises developed my skills in empathetic and polite communication, as well as the ability to clearly explain complex medical information.
Thanks to systematic preparation, the instructor's personalized approach, and dedicated effort, I successfully passed the NIL language exam on my first attempt, which now allows me to begin my professional medical career in Poland.
I’m Dr. Harikrishnan, and I recently enrolled in the Junior Doctor Training and Polish Medical Licensing Program at the American Medical Academy. From the very beginning, the experience has been outstanding. They started with Polish language training, which has been exceptionally well-structured—clear, engaging, and easy to understand. The teaching quality is top-notch, and the instructors are professional and approachable. I feel confident and well-supported as I move forward in the program, and I’m glad to have chosen AMA for this important step in my medical career
